The City's Department of Public Works, in collaboration with the
Office of Councilman Ray Lopez, will hold a public meeting tonight, June 14,
at 6:30 p.m. at the Edgewood Academy located at 607 SW 34th street.
The meeting will provide residents with information on the planned
improvements presented by Public Works staff. Following the program
officials will also be on hand to answer questions.
The project is slated to begin this month and is estimated to be completed
by December 2010. The improvements will take place on Chulita Street from SW
37th to SW 38th and will include the reconstruction of curbs, sidewalks and
driveway approaches.
