Councilwoman Chan and VIA to Hold Public Meeting in District 9
Tomorrow, February 9, Councilwoman Elisa Chan and VIA CEO Keith Parker will host a public meeting to gather input from District 9 residents about what types of improvements to the city's mass transit system that they would like to see in the district.
Residents will also be encouraged to inform VIA officials about what they feel VIA needs to do to their services in order for District 9 residents to consider choosing mass transit as a means of transportation.
"I would really like for District 9 residents to come to this meeting and give their input to VIA and let them know what it would take for them to do in order for area residents to become riders," said Councilwoman Chan.
Those in attendance will also be asked to form small groups to come up with ideas for VIA's consideration in order to attract more District 9 riders.
