Day two of City-Toyota Green Clean-up Project helps spruce up District 2

The City-Toyota Green Clean-up Project was in full gear today as more than 325 volunteers took to the east side of San Antonio to spruce up several much needed areas in District 2.

The crews worked on various clean-up projects including picking up trash and painting bleachers, curbs and fencing around the pool at the Lincoln Community Center Park. They also worked on painting perimeter fencing that surrounds five of the historic Old City cemeteries located off East Commerce Street. The clean-up project will continue through Friday, September 26, then pick-up again October 6 through October 10.

Tomorrow, the City-Toyota Green Clean-up Project will move into District 3 working at Southside Lions Park, 3100 Hiawatha and Harlandale Park located at 300 Sussex. The group will be replacing signage, landscaping, painting the perimeter fencing around the pool, picking up trash in the park and providing some much needed curb maintenance.
