City to host free seminar focusing on commercial location and home occupation requirements

The City's Economic Development Department (EDD) Small Business Division will host a free seminar on Wednesday, June 10 for prospective small business owners wanting to learn about commercial location and home occupation requirements. The workshop will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Frost Bank Tower, 100 West Houston St., Suite 1900.

Participants will learn about how to apply for a certificate of occupancy, obtain building permits, schedule inspections, fire safety codes, and the requirements for operating a home occupation in San Antonio.

Information on a variety of business assistance programs offered by the City's EDD Small Business Outreach Division and South Texas Women's Business Center will also be presented.
