EDD free seminar to focus on the Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit

On Wednesday, April 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Frost Bank Tower, 100 West Houston St., Suite 1900, the City's Economic Development Department, Small Business Division will be hosting a free seminar for prospective business owners interested in learning about the Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit.

Participants will learn the requirements and responsibilities first hand from the Texas State Comptroller's Office. Topics to be discussed include how to complete a sales and use tax application, business owners’ records and responsibility requirements, sales tax resale and exemption certificates, as well as other important Texas tax information.

Information on a variety of business assistance programs will also be offered by the City's Economic Development Department, Small Business Outreach Division, in addition to information regarding the South Texas Women's Business Center will be presented.
