Community invited to provide input on Strategic Historic Preservation Plan

The City’s Office of Historic Preservation is inviting the public to attend the second community workshop to discuss and provide input on the latest historic preservation activities and long-term preservation goals and objectives. The free workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Development Services Building, 1901 S. Alamo, training rooms A and B.

As part of the workshop, participants will receive a review of the preliminary assessment report and preliminary preservation strategies and recommendations, participant evaluation of the preliminary strategies, and generation of additional planning ideas for historic preservation.

Staff will use the input from the workshop for the Strategic Historic Preservation Plan that is under development. The strategic plan is designed to create consensus about historic preservation issues and provide San Antonio with guidelines for the preservation of historic buildings, sites, and districts.
