Historic Preservation Symposium to offer AICP credit

There are still spaces available for individuals interested in attending the City’s Office of Historic Preservation symposium taking place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, at the Development and Business Services Center – Training Rooms A and B, 1901 S. Alamo. The symposium will offer 1.5 hours of MC credits for AICP certified professionals.

The keynote speaker for the event is renowned preservation expert Donovan Rypkema. He has lectured on economic and preservation issues relating to rehabilitation, community development and commercial revitalization across the United States and internationally.

Rypkema will also take part in the Urban Renaissance Luncheon co-presented by the Downtown Alliance and the Office of Historic Preservation at noon on August 31, at the Hyatt Regency, 123 Losoya Street.
