STWBC announces business
plan competition
The City’s South Texas Women’s Business Center (STWBC) has kicked
off its first annual business plan competition. The finalists of the
business plan will be judged at STWBC’s Women’s Business Symposium on
August 28 at the Norris Conference Center at Crossroads Mall, 4522
Fredericksburg Road, during the Symposium’s luncheon.
Business plans are being accepted throughout July and the deadline to
submit is Monday, August 3. The businesses must be 51 percent
woman owned, in business for at least six months from August 1, and not
exceed revenue of $250,000. Entries should be no longer than 10 pages
and financials submitted should be a minimum of two pages. The winner
will receive a prize package valued at $5,000. Winner must be present in
order to win.
The STWBC is a program of the South Texas Business Fund and the City of
San Antonio’s Economic Development Department which offers education,
counseling, and training services to aspiring entrepreneurs and
established business owners.
