Volunteers needed to wipeout graffiti
- City gears up for 6th Annual Graffiti Wipeout Days -

Calling all volunteers! The City is looking for a few good volunteers to take part in the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department’s Graffiti Wipeout Days.

Since the event continues to grow, the City has decided to declare three days of graffiti eradication for their Sixth Annual Graffiti Wipeout. Civic groups, churches, schools and businesses are invited to wipeout graffiti in San Antonio on Saturday, September 12 or Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Groups interested in participating must provide their preferred date, time and location to the Graffiti Abatement Program by Friday, September 4.

Individuals or families interested in helping out can volunteer through their City Council districts. The final clean-up day will be Saturday, September 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Last year, more than 3200 volunteers participated in the Graffiti Wipeout, removing over 480,000sq. feet of graffiti.

For more information or to register for one of the Graffiti Wipeout Days, contact Lisa McKenzie at (210) 207-5430 or by email at lisa.mckenzie@sanantonio.gov.
