Deadline extended for Head Start Policy Council applications

The deadline for applicants to apply for a position on the Head Start Policy Council has been extended until Tuesday, October 20. Applications are being accepted for the following categories:

• Business Representative (1 slot) - Experience in a business capacity with an emphasis in financial management

• Community At-Large (1 slot) - Experience working with underserved children and families, Past Head Start parents encouraged to apply

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) (1 slot) – Experience in the Early Childhood Education profession in some capacity such as direct services including past Head Start experience

• Higher Education (2 slots) –Teaching experience at the community college or university level within the Early Childhood Education discipline

• Medical Representative (1 slot) - Experience in the medical field preferably working with underserved children and families
  
  Citizens may obtain an application by visiting www.sanantonio.gov/clerk/ on the Office of the City Clerk website, select the blue box on the left for "Boards and Commissions" then select "Vacancies on City Boards."
