City to hold public meeting on proposed Scrap Tire Ordinance

The City's Housing and Neighborhood Services Department will hold a public meeting from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, at the Palm Heights Community Center, 1201 W. Malone, in order to obtain input on the proposed scrap tire ordinance.

The proposed ordinance establishes regulations and procedures for the appropriate storage, safe transportation and proper disposal of used or scrap tires. It evaluates the City’s current policy and identifies opportunities to improve.

During the meeting, residents will discuss the proposed policy options and also identify the pros and cons, and areas of consensus and disagreement on those options.
