Window Restoration
Workshop
The City’s Office of Historic Preservation and the University of Texas
San Antonio will offer a second interactive wood window workshop July 31
and August 1.
“Wood windows are sustainable, energy efficient, and an important
architectural feature to historic homes and we should be doing
everything in our power to promote rehabilitation rather than
replacement of this historic feature,” said Shanon Wasielewski, Historic
Preservation Officer.
The training will be held at the historic fire station #11, 323 S. Frio
St. Participants in the workshop will learn the basics of how to restore
wood windows. This is an intensive two-day course that is designed to
give participants the ability to accurately restore historic wood
windows from start to finish.
Registration is required and space is limited. For more information or
to register, contact Molly Matthews at (210) 207-1460 or by email at
OHP@sanantonio.gov.
