Public invited to learn about proposed Woodlawn Lake Area Neighborhood Conservation District

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to learn about the proposed Woodlawn Lake Area Neighborhood Conservation District at a public meeting on Wednesday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fenwick Elementary School cafeteria, located on 1930 Waverly Avenue.

The proposed Woodlawn Lake Area Neighborhood Conservation District is generally bound by Woodlawn to the north, Zarzamora to the east, General McMullen to the west, and Culebra to the south.

Section 35-335 of the Unified Development Code of the City of San Antonio provides qualified neighborhoods the opportunity to petition for Neighborhood Conservation District designation. A Neighborhood Conservation District (NCD) is an overlay zoning district that contains design guidelines and standards for new and rehabilitative development.

After public comments, development design standards will be presented to the Zoning Commission and City Council for consideration and adoption.

For more information about the Woodlawn Lake Area Neighborhood Conservation District, call Gary Edenburn, Senior Planner at 207-0139 or Sidra Maldonado, Planner, at 207-7815.
