NCR to Offer Workshop on the Fundamentals of Marketing Small business owners invited to attend free workshop

The Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization Program (NCR) will offer a free workshop entitled "Marketing 101: The Fundamentals of Marketing" from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20 at the Avenida Guadalupe Association's computer lab, 1306 Guadalupe Street.

The workshop will be led by Diana Arévalo of OlaVera Marketing. Workshop topics will include:

• Identifying your demographic & target market
• Creating sales prospects
• Utilizing online social media
• Co-op marketing
• Business concepts
• Creating a promotion campaign
• Gaining publicity for your business

This workshop is offered as part of the NCR Business Basics (B2) Course Series. The courses are designed to help entrepreneurs in recognized distressed areas learn new skills, grow sales, and form critical networks. Business owners may attend the entire series, or attend individual workshops to brush-up on specific skills. Courses are conveniently held every third Thursday of the month. The classes are free for guests from the NCR/TIRZ/Empowerment Zone corridors. A $5 donation is suggested for guests from outside of these areas.
