After School Art in Action Program accepting applications

The City's Graffiti Abatement Program is now accepting applications for After School Art in Action a free sixteen-week after school arts program created in collaboration with Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU).

The deadline to apply is Friday, February 11. Applicants must be in grades 9-12 to participate. Only 15 applicants will be accepted. Applications can be obtained by visiting www.sanantonio.gov/ces.

The program begins Tuesday, February 22 and will run through June 9. Participants will meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening at OLLU where they will learn different art techniques from six local artists. Participants will also be involved in service learning experiences throughout the city.

At the end of the program, the students' work will be on display at various galleries.
