City Council candidates can begin filing on Monday

The first day to file as a candidate for the May 14 City Council General Election is Monday, February 14. Applications will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on March 14 in the Office of the City Clerk located on the second floor of City Hall.

Qualified candidates must be a citizen of the United States, be at least 18 years of age, and be a registered City of San Antonio voter. Qualified candidates must have lived in their respective City Council District for at least six months and in San Antonio for at least one year.

Early voting by personal appearance for the May 14 General Election begins Monday, May 2 and ends Tuesday, May 10. In observance of Mother's Day, early voting will not be conducted on Sunday, May 8.
