2011 Municipal Election information packets now available

Citizens interested in running for Mayor or a City Council district seat in the May 14 Municipal Election can obtain information packets now in the Office of the City Clerk located on the second floor of City Hall, 100 Military Plaza. The packet cost is $25 and may be purchased during regular business hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Packets include information on the following: filing procedures, state and municipal campaign finance regulations, state and municipal campaign advertisement regulations, an application for a place on the ballot and a calendar of events.

Candidates can submit their application for a place on the ballot between Monday, February 14 and Monday, March 14 during regular office hours. Write-in candidates can submit an application for a place on the ballot between Monday, February 14 and Monday, March 21.
