Electric vehicle charger rebate now available

The electric vehicle charger rebate is now available. The City's Office of Environmental Policy in partnership with CPS Energy is now offering the rebates on a first come, first serve basis.

Eligibility to receive a rebate requires that a unit be placed in a single-family residence within the city of San Antonio and also that the recipient be a CPS Energy customer.

The rebate covers 50 percent of the actual cost of a level two electric vehicle charger and installation, up to a maximum of $1,000. Rebates will appear as a credit on a resident's CPS Energy account.

For a complete list of guidelines or for more information on the program, call the City's Office of Environmental Policy at (210) 207-0255 or CPS Energy at (210) 353-2728 or visit CPS Energy's website at http://www.cpsenergy.com/Residential/Rebates/EV_Charging_Stations/index.asp.
