3rd Annual Green Building Awards nominations

The City's Office of Environmental policy is now accepting nominations for the third annual Green Building Awards.

This event showcases breakthroughs and emerging technologies that are taking place in the field of green building. The awards will also feature categories for new construction and retrofit projects, in both residential and commercial construction.

In addition, coinciding with the Department of Energy's designation of San Antonio as a "Solar America City," a special award will be given to a nominee who has made significant contributions in solar energy.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 29. Nomination forms are available at http://www.sanantonio.gov/oep. Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on June 1 at the International Center, 203 S. St. Mary's St.
