3rd Annual Green Building Awards nominations deadline extended

The City's Office of Environmental policy is has extended the deadline for nominations for the third annual Green Building Awards to Friday, May 6.

This event showcases breakthroughs and emerging technologies that are taking place in the field of green building. The awards feature categories for new construction and retrofit projects, in both residential and commercial construction.

In addition, coinciding with the Department of Energy's designation of San Antonio as a "Solar America City," a special award will be given to a nominee who has made significant contributions in solar energy.

Nomination forms are available at http://www.sanantonio.gov/oep. Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on June 1 at the International Center, 203 S. St. Mary's.
