Applications sought for At-Large Boards and Commissions

Citizens are encouraged to get involved in local government. The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants for a variety of At-Large Boards and Commissions. The positions available are as follows:

Advisory Board of Health of the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District (5 slots) – Categories:

o Physician (1 slot)
o At-Large/Hospital Services Administration (1 slot)
o Nurses Association Representative (1 slot)
o AIDS Service Organization/Provider (1 slot)
o Veterinarian (1 slot)

Fort Sam Houston Community Advisory Board (13 slots) – Categories:

o Neighborhood Association Representatives (5 slots): one member nominated by each of the following Neighborhood Associations: Dignowity Hill, Westfort Alliance, Harvard Place-East Lawn, Mahncke Park, Government Hill Alliance
o Fort Sam Houston Representative (1 slot)
o San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside Representative (1 slot)
o Business Representative (2 slots)
o Tenant/Renter from any of the aforementioned neighborhoods (1 slot)
o Military Transformation Task Force (MTTF) Representative (1 slot)
o Clergy Representative (2 slots)

Air Transportation Advisory Commission (1 slot) – Category:
o Community Representative

Watershed Improvement Advisory Commission (5 slots) – No categories

Citizens who would like to apply may obtain an application from the Office of the City Clerk located on the second floor of City Hall, 100 Military Plaza, or by visiting www.sanantonio.gov/clerk/boards/OnLineApp/BoardAppOnLineIntro.asp. The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, May 14.
