Food Service Done Right – Learn the Basics

If you’ve ever wanted to start your own food service business then this is the seminar for you. On Wednesday, March 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Frost Bank Tower, 100 W. Houston St., Suite 1900, the City’s Economic Development Department (EDD) Small Business Division will be hosting a seminar for prospective food service owners.

Participants will learn the rules and regulations first hand from the City’s Metropolitan Health District, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the San Antonio Restaurant Association. Topics that will be discussed include basic health regulations, commercial kitchen requirements, food licenses and permits, food handler certification and alcohol licensing requirements.

Information on a variety of business assistance programs offered by the City’s EDD Small Business Outreach Division and South Texas Women’s Business Center will also be available.
