River North master plan
seeking property owner participation
- For Team to Guide the Planning
Process -
The City of San Antonio invites property owners in the River
North planning area who have an interest in serving on the planning team
to contact the Office of Planning and Community Development to indicate
their interest by Monday, June 30.
The City is establishing a planning team to review the draft master plan
documents and guide the public participation process. To ensure a broad
base of stakeholder representation, the planning team will be composed
of institutional and corporate members as well as five property owners.
One representative will be selected from each of the five districts
within the master plan area. Property owners will be given the
opportunity to select a representative from their district by consensus
of those interested or by a lottery system should a consensus amongst
property owners not be reached. If any one property owner in a
district selects the option to hold a lottery, the self nominated
consensus process for that district will be forfeited and the lottery
system will be utilized. The lottery and/or self nominated consensus
process will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2 at the
Municipal Plaza Building, City Council Chambers, 103 S. Main Plaza.
The first River North Planning Team meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m.
on Monday, July 14 in the Cliff Morton Development & Business
Services Building – Training Rooms A & B, 1901 S. Alamo.
