“Texas Sales and Use Tax Permits”

On Wednesday, June 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Frost Bank Tower, 100 West Houston St., Suite 1900, the City's Economic Development Department (EDD) Small Business Division will be hosting a free seminar for prospective business owners wanting to learn about the Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit.

Participants will learn the requirements and responsibilities first hand from the Texas State Comptroller's Office. Topics to be discussed include how to complete a sales and use tax application, business owner’s records and responsibility requirements, sales tax resale and exemption certificates, and other important Texas tax information.

Information on a variety of business assistance programs offered by the City's EDD Small Business Outreach Division and South Texas Women's Business Center will also be presented.
