Camp Bullis land use
draft report available
-Community input encouraged for the regional
planning effort-
The public has several opportunities to review and comment on the Camp
Bullis Draft Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) report. In addition to a public
meeting, stakeholders can also review the report online and at several
area libraries. The Public Comment period for the JLUS process ends
Friday, April 17.
The public meeting is scheduled for April 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the
Municipal Plaza Building, Room B, located on 103 S. Main, across from
City Hall. The objective of the meeting is to discuss the project’s
progress and to answer questions and receive public comment on the draft
JLUS report.
Beginning today, the draft report is also available online at
www.campbullisjlus.com. The
public can view and provide comments directly onto the website. In
addition, the draft report is available at the Office of Military
Affairs, located at 100 W. Houston Street, Suite 1900; the Central
Library; the Bulverde Public Library, and at the Boerne Public Library.
Since there are limited copies, the draft JLUS report is filed as
reference material and is a non-circulating document at the library.
Funded by the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment, the
JLUS is a collaborative planning effort between active military
installations, surrounding counties and cities, and affected agencies.
The overall goal of the JLUS is to reduce potential conflicts while
accommodating growth, sustaining the economic health of the region, and
protecting public health and safety.
