Regional Visioning for San Antonio 2035

Community stakeholders from around the city are gathering this Friday to begin discussions about a Regional Vision. A half-day session will be held with a Citizens Advisory Committee to begin the process.

Topics for discussion include transportation, housing, the environment, sustainability, education, the economy, and community services. The process is being hosted by the City's Planning and Development Services Department. The interactive visioning session will explore how these various elements impact each other and ultimately will help chart a course for the future growth and development of San Antonio over the next 25 years-to the year 2035.

The primary goal of the Regional Visioning process is to update the City's Master Plan Policies. In March, the stakeholder group will reconvene to discuss specific policy updates to the Master Plan Policies document.

The public will also be invited to an Open House in March to provide feedback on the proposed updates. For more information, call 207-0217 or visit http://www.sanantonio.gov/planning/master_plan.pdf.
