-Public invited to participate in the design standards process for the area-

The City of San Antonio's Planning and Development Services Department and the Woodlawn Lake Neighborhood Conservation District Planning Team will host a public meeting for the proposed Woodlawn Neighborhood Conservation District (NCD) starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 25 at Fenwick Elementary School Cafeteria, located on 1930 Waverly Avenue. Community stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide input on development design standards for new construction.

The area is generally bound by Woodlawn Ave. to the north, Zarzamora St. to the east, Culebra Rd. to the south, and St. Cloud Rd. to the west.

Section 35-335 of the Unified Development Code of the City of San Antonio provides qualified neighborhoods the opportunity to petition for Neighborhood Conservation District designation. An NCD is an overlay zoning district that contains design guidelines and standards for new development.

After taking public comments into consideration, the development design standards will be presented to the Zoning Commission and City Council for consideration and adoption. For more information about the Woodlawn Lake Neighborhood Conservation District, call Gary Edenburn, senior planner at 210-207-0139 or Sidra Maldonado, planner, at 210- 207-7815.
