City hosts Amazing Preservation Race

For those seeking an urban adventure, don't miss the Amazing Preservation Race on Friday, May 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Office of Historic Preservation is teaming up with several downtown partners including the Downtown Operations Department, the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Alamo, and Downtown Alliance to host this event for those who love adventure and history.

This event has it all--an architectural scavenger hunt, trivia questions, urban challenges and an after party. Teams of four adventurous adults who want to put their street smarts and trivia skills to the test will hit the streets of San Antonio for an adventure like no other. Each team will receive a race guide with visual clues and riddles used to find destinations. Teams will have two hours to complete the race. At each destination, teams will perform an activity for the next clue.
The race begins and ends in front of Mi Tierra restaurant in Market Square. Participants will leave the square at 5:30 p.m. and will return by 7:30 p.m. and will receive a race T-shirt and a drink ticket for the post-race fiesta!
