Code Ranger Volunteer Program seeks citizens interested in becoming involved in code enforcement activities

Are you interested in helping improve the quality of life in San Antonio? The City of San Antonio's Code Enforcement Services Department is seeking resident volunteers for the department's Code Ranger Volunteer Program to become actively involved in resolving specific problems in their neighborhoods and across the city.

The Code Ranger Volunteer Program is designed to promote community involvement through education, training and strategic programming and also provides opportunities for citizens to become involved with code enforcement activities.

Code Rangers assist with such duties, to name a few, as removing and inventorying bandit signs, identifying and reporting areas of illegal dumping, and helping with education at neighborhood association meetings and special events.

An orientation that will provide an overview of the Department's operations, the Code Ranger Volunteer Program, and the requirements to join the program is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27 from 6-7 p.m. at the Code Enforcement Services Department offices, located at 1400 S. Flores St., 78204.

Citizens interested in learning more about the Code Ranger Volunteer program can visit www.sanantonio.gov/ces/CodeRanger.aspx or may contact Albert Mora, Training Officer, at (210) 207-4453 or via e-mail at albert.mora@sanantonio.gov
