La Villita Historic Arts Village kicks off First Friday Art Walk

Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 marks the launch of the First Friday Art Walk at La Villita Historic Arts Village. Now visitors can explore the art and craftsmanship of local artisans during extended hours until 9 p.m. every first Friday of the month.

Each Friday La Villita will be lined with working artist booths and craftsman making their own art, which will be displayed throughout the village from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors will enjoy live music as they stroll through the village visiting 23 shops featuring local arts and crafts, fine art, jewelry, clothing, pottery, Mexican handcrafts and other unique finds.
