free workshop-
The City's Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization Program (NCR) will offer a
free workshop entitled Social Media Resources for Your Small Business
from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 16 at the Cliff
Morton Development and Business Services Center, located at 1901 South Alamo

The workshop will demonstrate how small business owners can utilize free

businesses and reach wider target audiences. The workshop will be conducted
by Jennifer Navarrette, the creator and organizer of several new media
organizations. She was the recipient of a 2010 Texas Social Media Award and

events across the country.
This workshop is offered as part of the NCR Business Basics (B2) Course
Series. The courses are designed to help entrepreneurs in recognized
distressed areas learn new skills, grow sales, and form critical networks.
Business owners may attend the entire series, or attend individual workshops
to brush-up on specific skills. Courses are conveniently held every third
Thursday of the month. The classes are free for guests from the NCR/ TIRZ/
Empowerment Zone corridors. A $5 donation is suggested for guests from
outside of these areas.
