Paseo por el Westside

Join the City's Office of Historic Preservation in celebrating National Preservation Month in May. As part of our continuing Westside Cultural Resource Survey initiative launched in February, our office and other partnering organizations are hosting the Paseo por el Westside. The event will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 816 S. Colorado (at Guadalupe Street). This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.

The Paseo por el Westside will feature walking tours, architectural survey training, presentations on Westside history and architecture, food, music, teatro, and much more. Walking tours will depart in the morning and the festivities continue throughout the day. Bring your stories and memories of the historic Westside.

Organizations partnering for the event with the Office of Historic Preservation include the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center, the Westside Historic Preservation Group, the Westside Development Corporation (WDC), the San Antonio Conservation Society, and the Avenida Guadalupe Association.
