REMINDER: Only ONE WEEK LEFT to file taxes!
VITA
Only seven days remain before the April 18 deadline
to file federal income taxes! Last-minute filers and taxpayers who expect to owe should call the United Way at 2-1-1 or visit www.vitasa.org to find out about free tax preparation through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program sponsored by the Alamo City Coalition for Economic Self-Sufficiency and the City of San Antonio.

Families and individuals earning less than $55,000 are eligible for tax preparation assistance at one of several VITA sites located throughout San Antonio. Basic tax returns are electronically filed by trained, IRS-certified volunteers. VITA sites are open on evenings and weekends depending on location.

Taxpayers who file at select VITA sites and receive refunds also have the $50,000 and individuals earning less than $25,000 can open a SaveUSA San Antonio Account when filing their return at a select VITA site and deposit at least $200 of their tax refund; participants can earn a 50 percent savings match if they maintain or increase their initial deposit for one year.

Save money on taxes this year - file with VITA!
