If so, you still have time to preview new homes at affordable prices at this year's Affordable Showcase of Homes. The showcase runs through Sunday, April 10. Located at the corner of Maridel and Surrells streets, west of Monterrey Park on West Commerce Street, the subdivision will have 31 energy efficient homes featuring a variety of floor plans built by five home builders. The homes are priced at $85,000 to $110,000 and will be certified by Build San Antonio Green. The subdivision features a neighborhood park, with a playground, an outdoor pavilion and picnic tables. The public can preview the new homes for sale weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and this weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to receiving information on down payment assistance and City services, potential homebuyers can enjoy a hot dog cook out today, April 7 and Sunday, April 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and enter to win a 46" HD TV, a $500 H-E-B gift card and a $250 gas card. The drawing will be held on Sunday, April 10. The Affordable Showcase of Homes is presented by the City of San Antonio and the Greater San Antonio Builders Association.
