Release Date: August 11, 2011 City of San Antonio Communications Office: 207-7234 District hearings provide residents an opportunity to comment on 2012 Proposed City Budget San Antonio residents are invited to provide their comments on the City's Fiscal Year 2012 Proposed Budget by attending community hearings in each Council district. The hearings are set to begin Monday, August 15. The FY 2012 Proposed Budget will be presented to City Council today, Thursday, August 11. Council members and City staff will be available at the hearings to explain important aspects of the proposed budget and answer questions from participants. A short educational video will be presented at the hearing to help participants learn more about the budget proposal. All district budget hearings will begin at 6:30 p.m. The community district budget hearings are scheduled as follows: Monday, August 15 District 10 Northeast Service Center 10303 Tool Yard Wednesday, August 17 District 3 Mission Library 3134 Roosevelt Ave. Thursday, August 18 District 5 Senior Center-District 5 2701 S. Presa St. Monday, August 22 District 2 S.J. Davis Middle School 4702 E. Houston St. Monday, August 22 District 6 Alicia Treviño Lopez Senior One Stop Center 8353 Culebra Rd. Tuesday, August 23 District 8 University Methodist Church 5084 DeZavala Rd. Wednesday, August 24 District 7 St. Mary's University, University Center, Conference Room A 1 Camino Santa Maria Thursday, August 25 District 1 TriPoint YMCA, Grantham Center 3233 N. A public hearing on the FY 2012 Proposed Budget is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber.
