Release Date: August 25, 2011 City of San Antonio Communications Office: 207-7234 Thirty-seven cooling locations available to seniors and others at risk In the midst of another heat advisory this summer, the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District (SAMHD) identified 37 cooling locations throughout the city for residents needing to cool off during these high-temperature days. The following map lists the locations available, which are all located near public transportation routes. ![]() Nine City pools will be open from 1-7 p.m. on August 27 and 28, and September 3-5.
