Have a hauntingly good time at the Eastside Cemeteries Tour
-Tour offers unique history lesson-

Add a pair of walking or running shoes to your Halloween costume and visit some of the city's most historical cemeteries on the Eastside during the Go! Historic SA Guided Running and Walking Tours on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. Hosted by the City's Office of Historic Preservation, the historic Eastside Cemeteries District provides a perfect setting for the fall tour. Participants are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes.

In addition to working in physical activity, participants get a unique history lesson while getting into the ghoulish season. Re-enactors will be dressed in period costumes representing some of the most famous San Antonians buried in Eastside cemeteries such as Clara Driscoll, William Menger, Samuel Maverick, and many more.

Participants will start and finish the one-and-a-half-hour tour at the Carver Community Cultural Center, located at 226 N. Hackberry.
Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome. Participants will be divided into small groups according to experience. Each tour is $15 per person and includes a mesh running cap. Register online at www.active.com, keywords "guided tour."
