Release Date: November 2, 2011 City of San Antonio Communications Office: 207-7234 First Friday Art Walk returns at La Villita Historic Arts Village This Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 marks the second installment of the First Friday Art Walk at La Villita Historic Arts Village. Visitors can explore the art and craftsmanship of local artisans during the event with extended hours until 9 p.m. Each first Friday of the month, La Villita will be lined with working artist booths and craftsmen making their own art, which will be displayed throughout the village from 3 to 9 p.m. Visitors will enjoy live music as they stroll through the village visiting 23 shops featuring local arts and crafts, fine art, jewelry, clothing, pottery, Mexican handcrafts and other unique finds.
