NCR to offer free workshop on incentive programs for small businesses

The Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization Program (NCR), administered by the City's Planning and Community Development Department will offer a free workshop entitled "You’re in the Zone! Know Your Area’s Benefits" from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 17 at the Cliff Morton Development and Business Services Center, located at 1901 South Alamo.

Workshop topics will include permit waivers, empowerment zones, HUB zones, Tax credits and NCR benefits.

This workshop is offered as part of the NCR Business Basics (B2) Course Series. The courses are designed to help entrepreneurs in recognized distressed areas learn new skills, grow sales, and form critical networks. Business owners may attend the entire series, or attend individual workshops to brush-up on specific skills. Courses are conveniently held every third Thursday of the month. The classes are free for guests from the NCR/ TIRZ/ Empowerment Zone corridors. A $5 donation is suggested for guests from outside of these areas.
