Public invited to comment on draft Northwest Community Plan Update

The City's Department of Planning and Community Development is holding an Open House to discuss the Northwest Community Plan Update, including the proposed Land Use map. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22 at the Maverick Public Library, located at 8700 Mystic Park.

The proposed plan update goals, strategies and land use map reflect the desire of the community for the future growth in this area. The proposed land use map, when adopted, will be the basis for the future zoning change decisions within this plan area.
At the Open House, community stakeholders will have an opportunity to learn more about the plan and its components and provide input on the draft plan document.

The Planning Team will then review the feedback and edit the draft plan goals, objectives and land use map. Upon completion, the updated plan document will be forwarded to the Planning Commission and to City Council for approval in April.
