Release Date: September 7, 2011 City of San Antonio Communications Office: 207-7234 Free seminar offers tips on doing business with the State of Texas Business owners interested in learning how to do business with the State of Texas are invited to attend a free seminar from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at the Central Library auditorium, located at 600 Soledad. Hosted by the City's Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), the seminar offers an introduction to certification and information about purchasing opportunities with the State. Industry professionals Rachel Snell, Marketing Coordinator for the statewide Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program; Irene Maldonado, HUB Program Manager at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and Amanda Alvarado, UTSA Buyer II, will provide insight into selling products and services to the government and other state organizations, such as UTSA, and how to register with the Texas Centralized Masters Bidders List (CMBL) .
