Release Date: November 18, 2011 City of San Antonio Communications Office: 207-7234 SWMD Thanksgiving holiday collection schedule In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no recycling, garbage or organics recycling collection on Thursday, November 24. Residents who normally receive collection on Thursday will receive service on Wednesday, November 23. Residents who receive Friday collection will receive their regularly scheduled service on Friday, November 25. The Solid Waste Management Department encourages residents to set out their recycling, garbage and organics recycling carts by 7 a.m. on their designated collection date to avoid a missed collection. Please note that the Bitters Brush Recycling Center and the Household Hazardous Waste Facility (HHW) will also be closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
