Public Meeting for the Proposed Westfort Alliance Neighborhood Conservation District set

Community stakeholders will have an opportunity to get information about the planning process for the proposed Westfort Alliance Neighborhood Conservation District (NCD) at a public meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lions Field Citizen Center, located at 2809 Broadway.

The proposed Westfort Alliance NCD study area is generally bound by Brackenridge Street to the north, N. Pine Street to the east, E. Josephine Street to the south, and Broadway to the west.

Section 35-335 of the Unified Development Code of the City of San Antonio provides qualified neighborhoods the opportunity to petition for Neighborhood Conservation District designation, which is an overlay zoning district that contains design guidelines and standards for new and rehabilitative development.

After taking into consideration the comments from the public, these development design standards will be presented by the Planning and Community Development Department to the Zoning Commission and City Council for consideration and adoption.

For more information, call Gary Edenburn, senior planner, at 207-0139.
