City-Toyota Green Clean-up Project gets underway

The City-Toyota Green Clean-up Project kicked-off today as 320 volunteers took over Brackenridge Park to give it a much needed face lift.

The crews dispersed throughout the park picking-up trash; painting iron fencing,
railings and picnic tables; pruning bushes; providing landscaping; cleaning playground equipment and removing overgrown vegetation from playing fields. The clean-up project will continue through Friday, then pick-up again October 6 through October 10.

Tomorrow, the City-Toyota Green Clean-up Project will continue at Lincoln Park, 2915 E. Commerce, in District 2. The group will be painting the perimeter fencing around the cemeteries, picking up trash in the park and providing some much needed curb maintenance.
