City to enforce yard parking laws during Fiesta celebrations

As the city gears up for ten days of food, parades and festivals, the City's Code Compliance and Police Departments want to remind citizens that it is illegal to park vehicles on front and side lawns or to sell your yard space for parking for nearby Fiesta events. This rule will be strictly enforced during such events as Fiesta Oyster Bake, Night in Old San Antonio, the King William Fair and other Fiesta celebrations.

Violations to the City’s front/side yard parking ordinance may result in a parking citation and/or a significant fine to the property owner.

In addition to front/side yard parking, partygoers who park in vacant lots or other non-permitted parking areas may be subject to having their vehicle towed at their expense.

Code and Police Officers are encouraging Fiesta participants to adhere to all City codes to ensure a safe environment for all citizens who are attending Fiesta events. Citizens are asked to call 311 to report possible parking violations.
