Fiesta 2006 events to close
certain streets
Thousands of revelers will converge on downtown
San Antonio soon for Fiesta 2006 events. Motorists will be diverted as the
City closes several downtown streets to accommodate each event. Listed
below are street closures and associated closure times for each of these
events:
Fiesta Carnival
Dolorosa between Santa Rosa and Flores
Closed April 17, 12:01 a.m. to May 1, 6:00 a.m. (one lane open for traffic
during non-carnival hours)
Laredo Street between Nueva and Commerce
Closed April 15, 7:00 a.m. to May 3, 6:00 a.m.
Nueva (westbound lanes) between Santa Rosa and Laredo
Closed April 17, 12:01 a.m. to May 1, 6:00 a.m. (eastbound lanes open for
traffic to Flores) |
Southwest School of Art and Craft Fiesta Arts Fair
Augusta between Navarro and Giraud:
Closed April 21, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; April 23, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Augusta between Giraud and Convent open to one-way traffic southbound

Closed April 22, 8:30 a.m. to April 30, noon. South Presa from Nueva to
Arciniega to be made one-way southbound during event hours.
Nueva median and westbound lanes from S. Alamo to 175 feet west of S.

Closed April 25 to April 28 from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.
