NCAA® Men’s Final Four® events to close certain streets

Thousands of college basketball fans will converge on downtown San Antonio this weekend for the 2008 NCAA® Men’s Final Four® events. Motorists will be diverted as the City closes several downtown and other streets to accommodate events. Listed below are street closures and associated closure times.

Full street closures for the NCAA® Final Four® Big Dance will begin at 9:00 a.m. on April 3 until 6:00 a.m. on April 8 at Alamo Street between Market and Durango and at Nueva between Alamo and Presa. The northbound lanes of Alamo will remain closed until 9:00 a.m. on April 8.

In addition, the following street closures will take place on Saturday, April 5 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. for the AT&T Road to the Final Four 3K Run/Walk and the Ashley Furniture Home Store/Spurs 5K Run/Walk:

• Nueva Street between Alamo and Flores;
• Flores between Nueva and Guenther;
• W. Guenther between Flores and King William;
• King William between Guenther and Washington;
• Arsenal between Washington and S. Main;
• S. Main between Arsenal and Durango;
• Durango between S. Main and Flores;
• Flores between Durango and Nueva; and
• Nueva between Flores and S. Alamo.
