San Antonio Fire Chief Announces Retirement

Fire Chief, Robert Ojeda, announced today his intent to retire on February 28, 2007. Ojeda has served in the City’s Fire department for more than 33 years, thirteen as San Antonio’s Fire Chief.

“Chief Ojeda has served our community with integrity and true dedication through his entire career with the City of San Antonio,” said City Manager Sheryl Sculley. “The Chief has agreed to continue leading our Fire personnel for the next six months to ensure a smooth transition to the next Fire Administration.”

Sculley will conduct a nationwide search for the City’s next top Fire department administrator.
