Project: Team members pledge to beautify San Antonio Beginning September 22 through September 26, volunteer crews, made up of Toyota team members and their on-site suppliers, will begin work in area parks in each of the 10 council districts. Toyota and its on-site suppliers pledged 340 team members for the clean up effort, combined. Toyota on-site suppliers include Avanzar Interior Technologies, Futaba Industrial Texas Corporation, MetoKote Corporation, Millennium Steel of Texas, Reyes Automotive Group, Toyota Logistics Services and Vutex, Incorporation. The City-Toyota Green Clean-Up Project will continue from October 6 to October 10. “Toyota has proven to be a true community partner by not only investing in our workforce, but also by helping to beautify our city,” said Mayor Phil Hardberger. “We appreciate and support their efforts.” “Our commitment to the community is exemplified by the work we plan to undertake on behalf of all citizens of San Antonio,” said Ken Fukuta, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas. “We are most grateful to be in a position to serve the community as we move forward in partnership with the City of San Antonio.” During the two-week City-Toyota Green Clean-Up Project, Toyota its on-site suppliers will volunteer 17,120 hours, an estimated value of more than $273,235 to the City.
