City-Toyota Green Clean-Up
Project continues this week,
homeless dog finds a new home
After a week-long break, the City-Toyota Green Clean-up Project continued
today as 186 Toyota Team Members and its on-site suppliers rolled up their
sleeves to help beautify Cuellar Park, Oscar Perez Park and Tom Slick Park
in District 6 by spreading mulch, painting soccer goals, bleachers and a
pool house.
Last week, while volunteering at Arnold Park, Toyota Team Member Michelle
Dean spotted a homeless dog that had been tagged with graffiti. After her
shift was over, Dean returned to the park and adopted the dog, she fittingly
named Tagger. Today Tagger was out at Cuellar Park enjoying time with his
new owner and other team members as they continued the clean-up project.
Tomorrow, the City-Toyota Green Clean-up Project will move on to Woodlawn
Lake Park, Garza Park and Monterrey Park in District 7 by painting,
spreading mulch and removing trash and debris.
This week Toyota team members will complete the
joint community service project at the following locations:
